SOULBURNER is launching worldwide it’s new album “The Throne of Armageddon”. It is available over all the digital channels that we already use.
SOULBURNER was formed in early 1998 under the name of Ritual, Founded by Bernardo Garcia and Ricardo González. In 1999 SOULBURNER recorded some songs that were published under the name of “PURE SICK METAL” as part of a split CD with renowned band NEUROSIS INC from Bogota.
The entering of Alejandro Rojas in the drums helped give the band more cohesion and a more distinctive style.
At the end of 2000, SOULBURNER began recording the first album, “Hellfire,” which was released in 2002. The album was well received nationally and internationally, receiving very good reviews in the press from different countries like USA, Germany, Romania, Thailand and Chile among others.
In 2004 SOULBURNER released an EP, “LIFE DENIED”, which includes the song “Life Denied” and other tracks from HELLFIRE album recorded live at a concert in the city of Bucaramanga with Ethereal and other local bands.
In 2006 SOULBURNER released the “NEW AGE OF DARKNESS” album in PC-CD format which was advertised nationally in different cities and abroad, mainly in Europe. Like the “Hellfire”, album the “NAOD” has received rave reviews in various specialized areas.
In 2008 Diego Melo becomes part of the band and during the latest years has consolidated his role as vocalist.
Throughout its career, SOULBURNER has alternated with prestigious bands like DESTRUCTION, VITAL REMAINS, AMON AMARTH, INQUISITION, MAYHEM, SINISTER, DARK FUNERAL, IMMORTAL, CORONER and Rhapsody.
Similarly, SOULBURNER has participated in many concerts and festivals in different cities, including Rock al Parque (2000 as Ritual, 2001, 2006 & 2010 as SOULBURNER ), Metalmania 2008, True Fest, Congregation Fest 2009 Fest 2009 among many others.
In 2016, Soulburner launches its new album, “The Throne of Armageddon”, produced in Colombia and mastered in Sweden by Dan Swano (Katatonia, Bloodbath, among others), creating a lot of interest in the local and international scene.
